Campanda

Privacy Policy of Campanda GmbH

Campanda GmbH, Uhlandstraße 175, 10719 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Campanda”), operates an agency platform at www.campanda.com where it offers caravans and mobile homes for hire. As a visitor to the platform, you can select a vehicle of your choosing for the holiday period you would like. You can also conclude a hire contract with the rental company following registration. As a private or commercial rental company, you can offer your vehicles for hire and edit the offers in your login area. The operation of our Campanda portal requires the mandatory exchange of personal data. Within the context of offers, this may even include data that you as the rental company have posted there, making it accessible to other visitors to the portal with a view to hiring out your vehicles.

Campanda attaches a great deal of importance to complying with the provisions set forth in the Federal Data Protection Act and the German Teleservices Act. We shall collect and process your personal data only to the extent described in the following privacy policy. Below, you will find a detailed description of the purpose for which and the extent to which we collect, process and use personal data.

Insofar as you are asked to consent to our privacy policy whilst registering on our Campanda portal, you herewith grant us the right to collect, process and use your personal data to the extent described in this policy by clicking on the corresponding checkbox.

You may, however, revoke your consent at any time. To this end, it is sufficient to send an e-mail to: info@campanda.com. Of course, you are also welcome to contact us in writing at the following address: Campanda GmbH, Uhlandstraße 175, 10719 Berlin, Germany. Please be aware that if you revoke your consent to the privacy policy, some of the Campanda portal’s services and functions will no longer work. 1. Nature and scope of collecting and processing personal data

If you register on our Campanda platform as a renter or rental company, offer vehicles for hire or conclude a vehicle hire contract with the rental company, we collect and process personal data in the form of so called “inventory data”. To a certain extent, we also store and use data as so called “usage data” that is generated during the use of our Campanda website. This is, however, in an anonymised and pseudonymised form. Furthermore, the data provided by you after registering with regard to offering vehicles for hire shall, of course, be stored electronically on our servers, in order to make the data accessible to potential vehicle renters to the extent stipulated by you.

a) Inventory data With regard to collecting, storing and using the inventory data, we distinguish between whether you have registered on the Campanda platform as a potential vehicle renter or rental company:

aa) Inventory data of the Renter You are required to register on our portal before booking a caravan or mobile home via our platform. You will then receive the access data for the login area of the Campanda website. During the registration process, we request and store the following inventory data as a matter of principle: • your first and last name, • your address (street, house number, postcode, town / city), • a password for accessing your account and • an e-mail address. As soon as you have chosen and booked a specific hire vehicle, we also request and store the following data as a matter of principle: • your age, • a phone number on which we can contact you, if necessary, to render the service and • the last name(s), first name(s), gender(s) and age(s) of the person(s) intended to be additional drivers or passengers.

We require this inventory data to create and manage your account, to process your enquiries in relation to vehicle hire, to prepare any hire contracts in the name of the rental company and to be able to assist you and – if necessary – contact you regarding performance of the hire contract. The information is also necessary for taking out liability and comprehensive insurance policies for the hired vehicles if necessary. In these cases, we forward the aforementioned inventory data to the insurance companies mentioned on our website exclusively for the purposes of processing the contract. We otherwise forward the inventory data exclusively to the rental company for the purposes of performing the hire contract.

Insofar as you have also provided us with your e-mail address in a separate declaration of consent, we shall also use this address to send you information about new services or functions of the Campanda platform and interesting mobile home and caravan offers from rental companies registered on the Campanda platform by newsletter, if required. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time by clicking on the corresponding link in the newsletter.

bb) Inventory data of the Rental company As a rental company, you are also required to register on the Campanda website beforehand. We request the following inventory data in this regard: • your first and last name, • if applicable, your company name and the first and last name of the responsible contact person, • your address (street, house number, postcode, town / city), • an e-mail address and phone number and • bank details providing information on your bank, account number and sort code. If you are a private rental company, we also request the following additional inventory data upon registration: • the data on your ID card (copy of ID required), • the data of the vehicle you have available for hire, including its number plate (copy of vehicle registration document required), • your date of birth and • your gender.

We collect, store and process the aforementioned inventory data to create and manage your rental company account, to post the vehicles you have available for hire on the Campanda platform, to prepare your hire contracts with potential renters, to assist you in performing the contracts, to issue invoices and to take out and manage the corresponding liability and comprehensive insurance policies for your vehicle. In the latter case, we shall forward the inventory data to the insurance company mentioned on our website for the purpose of performing the insurance contract. We shall post your first and last name, company name, contact person and complete address on the homepage for the relevant vehicle for hire, so that potential renters are properly informed of who is providing the relevant vehicle pursuant to the statutory provisions. We shall otherwise forward your inventory data exclusively to the renter who has placed a binding booking for your vehicle. We shall only do so insofar as is mandatorily required to process the hire contract.

b) Usage data / usage profiles / cookies / social media plugins As a matter of principle, you can visit our website without having to register or login. Data - known as so called “Usage Data” - is, however, generated when the website is being used. The following shall apply in this regard:

aa) Log files If registered users or mere Internet users visit our website, we store certain data in so called log files. A log file is made up of the IP address, the times at which the visitor accessed and left our website, the amount of data transferred and the subpages that were called up via our website. On the one hand, we collect and store the log files for security reasons so we can track cases of misuse of our services. On the other hand, the data also gives us an insight into how our services are being used. This allows us to find out – for instance – which pages are especially popular, the times at which our services are subject to particularly intense use, how people navigate within the website, etc. Subsequently, the results of this analysis are available in a purely statistical and anonymous format. We use the results to optimise our services from a technical and editorial standpoint. This means, for instance, that we do not know what usage behaviour you prefer. All we know is that there is a user who exhibits such usage behaviour. We have no way of and are not interested in singling you out as an individual based on an IP address.

bb) Google Analytics Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, Inc. based at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so called “cookies”, which are text files saved on your computer to help the website analyse how visitors use the site (for more information about cookies, please refer to Paragraph ff) below). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by a server run by Google in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activities for us and providing other services relating to website and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or to the extent that such third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with any other data that it holds. Incidentally, Campanda has expanded Google Analytics on this website to include the so called “Anonymise” code. This “blacksout” the last digits of your IP address, so it can no longer be assigned to you. One way to prevent the data collected by the Google cookie from being recorded and processed is to download and install the following browser plugin: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

cc) “Google +1” button Our “Campanda” website uses the “+1” button found in the “Google Plus” social network operated by Google Inc. (please refer to bb) above for the address). You can recognise the corresponding button by the “+ 1” symbol on a white or coloured background. If you call up one of our pages using such a button, your browser establishes a connection with Google’s servers. Google transfers the button’s contents directly to your browser, incorporating the data into the website. Campanda has no influence over the data that Google collects from you in this regard. Google is informed of which of our pages you have visited. However, the “+ 1” button is not used to record the websites you visit on the Internet in a general sense. When a “+1” button is displayed, Google is not permanently logging your browsing history, either, and it does not evaluate your visit to a page featuring a “+ 1” button in any other way. Google stores data about your visit for around two weeks for system maintenance and troubleshooting purposes. This data is neither structured according to individual profiles, usernames or URLs, and nor is it forwarded to Campanda. Should you be logged into “Google +” and click on the “+ 1” button, Google records information about your Google profile, the URL you recommended, your IP address and other browser related information. This information is deleted as soon as you log out of your “Google +” member profile. Should you have made your profile publicly accessible in the “Google +” settings, Google can show your “+ 1” as information along with your account name and account photo in Google services, such as search results, your Google profile or on other websites and online adverts. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection, as well as on how Google makes further use of the data, please refer to Google’s privacy policy at: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html. If you are a “Google +” member and would like to prevent Google from collecting and processing data about your visit to our website, always log out of “Google Plus” before visiting Campanda.

dd) Facebook button Our website also uses plugins featured in the facebook.com network (e.g. the “Like” button) operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. Relevant pages of our website feature the corresponding button. If you call up our website using such a plugin, your browser establishes a connection with Facebook’s servers. Facebook Inc. transfers the content of the plugin directly to your browser and displays it correspondingly in our website environment. We have no influence over the plugin content in detail. Using the usage data transferred to the Facebook Inc. servers, Facebook Inc. may be able to track which of our pages you called up and allocate this information to your Facebook account if you are registered on Facebook or if you recently visited a Facebook page or other pages with Facebook content. If you also actively use Facebook plugins (e.g. click on the “Like button”), your browser transfers corresponding information directly to Facebook Inc. We have no further influence over this process. For precise information on how and to what extent Facebook Inc. collects, processes and uses such data, please refer to Facebook Inc.’s privacy policy at www.facebook.com/policy.php. This also provides information on what privacy protection settings you have. To prevent Facebook Inc. from collecting information about you when visiting our website, log out of Facebook before visiting our site and delete any Facebook Inc. cookies, where necessary, from your browser.

ee) Twitter We use plugins featured by the SMS service Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, on our website (the so called “tweet” button). If you visit our pages displaying the corresponding "tweet" button, a direct connection is established between your browser and the "Twitter" server via the plugin. Twitter thus receives the information that you have visited our page under your IP address and can allocate this information to your Twitter account, where appropriate. Should you be logged into your Twitter account and actively click the "tweet" button on our website, you can also link our page contents to your Twitter profile. Twitter can therefore allocate the visit to our website to your Twitter account. Campanda has no influence over Twitter transferring and processing such data. For more information, please refer to the Twitter privacy policy at http://twitter.com/privacy. If you would like to prevent Twitter from allocating your visit to Campanda to your Twitter account, log out from your Twitter account before visiting the platform. You can also object to data being collected, stored and used at any time pursuant to Sections 1. b) aa) to ee).

ff) Cookies Finally, cookies are also used on our website. These provide us with the login data, information about your browser type and version, the date and time of your visit to the website, and the cookie number. This use of cookies within the context of registration (if required; see above) and the rest of our services allows us to recognise you when you visit our website again after one session. If you would like to suppress the use of cookies (also with regard to the information mentioned above under bb) to ee)), you can do so by changing the settings in your browser accordingly to prevent new cookies from being accepted and stored. To find out how this works with the browser you are using, use the “Help” function in your browser or contact the browser developer directly. However, only through using cookies can you enjoy full application security and convenience when using our website.

c) Content data Especially as a rental company within the context of the respective vehicle hire offers, you have the opportunity of posting descriptive texts, images and other content on the Campanda website. We store this content so we can keep it ready for retrieval within the context of your online vehicle hire offers. The same naturally applies to any personal data you provide as part of or in connection with your offers. However, you alone decide what information you want to provide about yourself. Once the usage agreement with Campanda has expired, your account shall be deactivated and your personal data deleted.

2. Forwarding of data to third parties / disclosure of content data

a) Forwarding We shall only forward your personal data to third parties • if and insofar as this is necessary to perform the contractual relationship concluded with you or to enforce our claims and rights, • if we are dealing with enquiries from official bodies, especially law enforcement and regulatory authorities, and forwarding the data is necessary to maintain public safety and order, as well as to prosecute criminal offences, and/or • if we are otherwise legally obligated to do so.

b) Disclosure of content data We “forward” the content data that you transferred to our server for upload purposes within the context of your vehicle hire offers to the general public, by making it technically accessible to all Internet users on the Campanda platform.

3. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to websites operated by other providers with whom we are not affiliated. Once you click on these links, we no longer have any influence over how any personal data (such as your IP address or the URL where the link is located) transferred to third parties as a result of you clicking on said links is processed. Therefore, we cannot assume any responsibility for the processing of such personal data by third parties.

4. Information, correction, deletion, blocking

When requested to do so in writing or in text form, we shall inform you at any time about the personal data we have stored on you. You can ask us to block or delete the data at any time. Only the data that we need to process pending tasks or to enforce our rights and claims and the data that we are obliged to store pursuant to statutory provisions are excluded from deletion.

5. Security

We implement technical and organisational security measures to ensure that your personal data is protected against loss, incorrect changes and unauthorised access by third parties. In all cases, we only allow authorised persons access to your personal data, and also only insofar as this is required within the scope of the purposes mentioned above.
